I am sure the original charter for the U.S.F.S. stated that the forest were to be kept as clean as possible. To me this means that they were keep all dumping clean up at the government expense if necessary. They keep all campgrounds picked up and looking nice, They burned all the old cabins along Big Salmon River that could be seen from the river to me the cabins were hurting nothing and were part of history yet apparently they were unsightly to the green community as floated down the river. So much for local history.
Yet, a little over a year ago there was a pick-up camper was dumped along forest road #1396 on the east side Meadows Valley and they have done nothing to get it removed. To me this says that the green community mean a lot more to the forest people than the general public who live locally.
