Will somebody please explain this to me. The news is saying that smoke out of Canada is causing extreme poor air quality due to huge amounts of carbon, yet the United States forest managers are doing prescribed burns which produce huge amounts of smoke to say nothing for the smoke from wildfires which they won’t put out, because it is virtually impossible to put out a fire with an airplane suppression without rain from mother nature but it generates big money for the forest service.
Forest managers are saying it to thin the brush and small trees from the forest, my dictionary say trees and brush absorb carbon which promotes growth, which is true as today there is probably less than 10% of the forest that I can walk through where 40 yrs. there was probably 10% I couldn’t walk through. The forest are getting so badly overgrown due to no management and the brush that is growing requires water and very quickly we are going to be short of water. They are tank trapping roads till the general public cannot use them, also posting signs telling the public stay on roads listed on the vehicle map.
I cannot think of a thing that the U.S.F.S. have done in the last 30 years to help the general public for example they won’t log the burns that they so skillfully burned.
Personally I would be in favor of a name change from the United States Forest Service to the United States Funeral Service because they are destroying more than they saving.
