We are literally dying due to an excessive amount of traffic, Cambridge Telephone & Construction traffic, Recreational traffic, Forest Service traffic, etc, etc,etc we are suffering from excessive exposure to dust.
Over the weekend, with the help of our Cuprum neighbors, we applied some Calcium Chloride to a small portion of the local gravel roadway here in Bear. The cost was $1,200 for the material. The labor was voluntary.
Unfortunately, we still have a major dust problem in the area.
We are pleading to the Forest Service, Logging Company, CTC, Adams County Road Commission, and others for assistance. People are suffering, and those with asthma, COPD, and other health issues simply can not breathe. We have tried to water the roadway to no avail.
Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated. It also helps when people slow down in the residential areas.
Thank you for your help and consideration.
D. Jordan and your friends in Bear.
