The Lower Weiser River Cooperative Weed Management Area in conjunction with Washington County Weed Control is hosting the 23rd County Noxious Weed Tour on Thursday, June 12, 2025. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with the tour beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the Weed Department, located at 1118 E. Court Street, Weiser, Idaho.
The 2025 tour will begin with post fire herbicide treatments in the Paddock fire area which burned in 2024. The next stop will be near Cambridge and focus upon noxious weed treatments using drone technology. The afternoon will begin with pollinators and protecting the monarch butterfly while making pesticide treatments.
The final speaker of the day will cover pesticide resistance, new chemistry, and range/pasture management. This will be helpful for those who are struggling with resistance and looking for newer technology which may better fit their program.
Door prizes and four Idaho pesticide applicator credits will be awarded at the end of the day. Transportation, drinks, and lunch are provided at no charge, compliments of the Lower Weiser River CWMA. Please dress accordingly, the morning will be in the field with the afternoon spent in the classroom.
