In June 2025, Cambridge High School is having a multi-class reunion with the graduating classes of 1970-79. Debbie Warren explained how this idea came about. 50 years ago, the class of ’75 graduated from high school. Debbie was thinking that it would be nice to get everyone together for a small reunion. Last summer she was invited to a lunch with several classmates. During this get together, they discussed the reunion. Other people had heard about it and wanted to be a part of the reunion, since they had all grown up together and many were good friends. So, they decided to make it a multi-class reunion. Within a short period of time, the small reunion had evolved into a much larger undertaking. Instead of planning an event for 25 classmates, the numbers had ballooned to about 250.

To help organize this much larger reunion a committee was put together from the class of ‘75. Those committee members include, Becca Mink Peschong, Brenda Barton Williams, Vickie Ford Turnbull, Denise Bier Stewart, Jenny Buchanan Miller and Debbie Ward Warren. In addition, Lisa Raney Lambirth from the class of ‘76 is also on the committee. Along with these committee members, they have been attempting to find a class representative for each class year to contact their fellow classmates and update their contact information. This can be done through social media, emails, and even flyers.

Debbie talked about the significance of a reunion at this stage of life. After 50 years or so, people value the time that they spent growing up together with classmates. They are not so interested in impressing each other, but just enjoying each other’s company and developing new friendships.

The reunion is scheduled for Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29, 2025. The plan is to have a catered lunch on the 28th at the exhibit hall, with time for visiting. Sunday will be left open for individual class get togethers. For lodging options check out cambridgeidaho.com, under Businesses & Supporters there is a tab for lodging. Along with those choices, the Washington County Fairgrounds offers dry camping spaces. A form with prices and options for this is available at: www.co.washington.id.us/DocumentCenter/View/517/Dry-Camping-Reservation-Form.

More information will be coming soon. For updates, please join the Cambridge High School ‘70’s Class Reunion Facebook group. To update your contact information text Becca (Mink) Peschong at (208) 550-4974 or email Lisa (Raney) Lambirth at roadrnr@frontiernet.net.
