A.C.T.S. Presents Children’s Comedy Improv Night Performance
On Friday, April 17, the newly formed Adams County Theatrical Society (A.C.T.S.) will be hosting their debut performance, Children’s Comedy Improv Night. This family friendly, free show will take place at the Adams County Exhibit Hall at 6:30 p.m. and will feature over a dozen local youth, ages 6 to 14, who have been learning theater, improvisation, and performance techniques over the past eight weeks.
Director and instructor, Camille Collings, started A.C.T.S. for her children. “I grew up doing theater,” she said, “I credit my early theater and music training with so much of my success in life, and I wanted my children to have the opportunity to learn these skills.” She started with teaching improv because it is a fun and accessible way to teach children theater skills, and can translate to so many other aspects of life.
A.C.T.S. hopes this will be the first performance of many, and they are looking into doing a fall performance next. Friday’s show is free and open to the public, so come and support the children and enjoy an evening full of fun and laughter!
