Ace is the Place

Brandy Thomas has been managing the Ace Saloon Beer Garden Bar in Council since last August. What is that you may ask? Well, during renovations of the main Ace Saloon this bar is open and serving customers. You get to it from the west side through the Beer Garden entrance facing the city park.

They were finally able to get approval from state Alcohol Beverage Control for this space on December 6th. Before this she was bartending outside in the Beer Garden. She’s happy to be inside now and serving customers away from the elements.

In addition to serving alcohol, she has food trucks coming on as many Thursdays as she can get them here. Right now the Salty Heifer and On the Hook Fish and Chips are the first trucks to be consistently making the trip up. Brandy told me she is working to get more trucks lined up but it is a challenge to find food trucks that are willing to come up here. But, when she has one coming she will be posting it on Facebook.

You can bring your birthday, anniversary, etc to the Beer Garden Bar to celebrate with friends and family. Or, Brandy can bring the bar to your event. She tells me that they will be officially certified for that service after they attend training on the 11th.

The Ace Saloon Beer Garden Bar is open 2-8:00 p.m. 7 days a week. When they have a food truck on site they are open 11-8:00 p.m..
