Adams County 4-H News Corner, Many Exciting Events Coming to the Community

The University of Idaho, Adams County Extension has partnered with Erin Lowen and her dance company, Mountain Dance Unlimited, LLC to bring the youth dance classes! Dance class will be held on Fridays at the Legion Hall. Classes are $28.00 for a month, or $10.00 for drop-in classes. 3–5-year-olds will dance at 10:30-11:00 a.m., 6–9-year-olds will be at 9:45-10:30 a.m., and 10 years and up will be at 9:00 a.m.-9:45. Sign up for dance on 4h.zsuite.org and pay at time of the class!

Dance Class on February 16th will have a visiting dance instructor to teach HipHop! Dance Class will start with 3-year-olds at 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., 1st grade to 4th grade at 11:00 a.m. to 11:45, with older ages at 11:45 to 12:30. This class will be held at the Legion Hall. If parents have already paid for the month of February, this class will count towards that month. Drop-ins will continue to be $10.00.

The next Small Animal 4-H meeting will be held February 13th at 6:00 p.m. at the Extension Office meeting room then again on February 27th at 6:00 p.m.. They will be continuing discussion on how to choose their animal and how to properly house them, all very important information!

Horse 4-H Youth are hard at work learning the different colors, markings, and breeds of horses, while getting itchy to get riding! The club has officially booked Tiffany Grace for another Horse Spa Day May 5th! A portion of the money raised at this event will go to the Horse Club. Horse Club meets Mondays at 4:30 at the Extension Office meeting room. There will be no meeting on February 19th due to Presidents Day.

The Photography 4-H club are working on their terms and learning the difference between DSLR digital cameras and mirrorless cameras and are excited to start shooting! The club is hoping to take a field trip to the Botanical Gardens and Boise Zoo this spring to take photos of the plants and animals. The Photography Club meets Tuesday at 4:30 at the Extension Office meeting room. There will be no meeting on February 20th.
