Present were District 7, Seat ‘A’ candidate Jim Chmelik. Kyle Harris, also a candidate for this seat, was absent due to injuries sustained in a vehicle accident, but sent a statement to be read. Mike Kingsley currently holds this seat but is not running for re-election. District 7, seat ‘B’ candidates, Charlie Shepherd (incumbent) and Larry Dunn were present.
County Commissioner for District 3, Viki Purdy was also present and took a few minutes to speak. Purdy is up for re-election but does not have an opponent.
The race garnering the most attention locally is the race for Adams County Sheriff. Kenn Roller is challenging Sheriff Ryan Zollman for the job.
