Brewing with Warfield Coffee

Ron and Lauren Warfield have made eating fresh food a priority and that includes the coffee they drink. As a hobby they started buying green coffee beans wholesale from ethical farms throughout the world and roasting the beans themselves. They began giving away their fresh roasted coffee beans to neighbors as an apology for their roaming Great Pyrenees named Lucy. People really enjoyed the flavor of the coffee and the Warfields began receiving requests for more. Soon they were getting so many orders that their small coffee roaster couldn’t keep up with the demand.
The Warfields saw an opportunity to share their passion for roasting coffee beans by fulfilling a need within the community. They purchased a larger coffee roaster from a local company located in Sandpoint, Idaho and Warfield Coffee Roasters was created. They prefer to roast their coffee beans fresh per order and each package has a roast date printed on it. Freshly roasted coffee beans have more antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and are more flavorful.
The Warfields also sell their coffee beans whole, when coffee beans are ground they immediately start to lose their aroma and flavor. Grinding coffee beans immediately before brewing gives the coffee a better bloom and a richer flavor.
The Warfields dedicate their business to their dogs since their Great Pyrenees Lucy and her roaming nature is what got them started. On each package of coffee beans is a delightful story about one or more of their dogs. One story tells about Lucy the wanderer and how she has become a beloved guardian of their entire community and is loved by many.
