On Friday, September 27th Cambridge PTSA (Parent-Teacher, Student Association) held their annual bike-a-thon fundraiser. It is a great family fun event, the PTSA’s biggest fundraiser for the year. Children of various ages gather at the Weiser River trail near the fairgrounds to begin the event. Participants can ride for one mile, complete a 7-mile loop, or finish all 3 loops, totaling 21 miles. PTSA arranges to have the sheriff’s office directing traffic along the highway to keep the kids safe, and volunteers are stationed at various check stations to provide drinks for the kids.

The children put in a lot of effort to cover as much distance as possible while enjoying the scenic countryside of Cambridge. Parents can often be spotted riding alongside their kids during these outings. As you travel down the road, you’ll notice numerous locals eagerly anticipating the kids’ arrival, ready to wave at them as they pass by.

Witnessing the community’s enthusiastic support for the children is truly heartening. The people of Cambridge are deeply invested in the well-being of the younger generation.

The Cambridge PTSA is a wonderful organization that helps support the Cambridge Schools. Fundraisers like the bike-a-thon help generate funds to be used for various events and activities. As a reminder, parents can sign up to be a member of PTSA to help & support the Cambridge schools.
