Cambridge Commercial Club Donates to the Community
The Cambridge Commercial Club gave generous donations to several community partners recently. Those benefiting the funds are the Cambridge School District, the Cambridge Museum, the Cambridge PTSA, The Cambridge Rodeo Association and the Tri Valley Little League.
The Cambridge Commercial Club would like to thank the community for supporting the Hells Canyon Jam each summer on the first weekend in June. This area wide celebration is a big event in our area with music, vendors and food and last year brought in a total of $17,611.88. This all volunteer organization then distributes the money where there is the greatest need back to our community.
The school received $2,046.88 to help purchase security cameras to keep our children and staff safe. The museum received $1890 to help with operational funds. The PTSA got a donation of $4,000 to add to their fundraising efforts for new playground equipment at the school. The Cambridge Rodeo Association received the largest donation of $6,500 to help with the construction of a much needed new arena at the rodeo grounds. And finally, our Tri Valley Little League was given $2,000 to assist in the completion of their equipment shed.
All these monetary gifts from those who put the Hells Canyon Jam together for all of us to enjoy, rely not only on those who volunteer to do the work to make it happen, but also those who come out and support it. This month on March 17th the Cambridge Commercial Club will be sponsoring another event, the Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner at the fairgrounds from 4-7:00 p.m. The money raised will be set aside to help those in our community who are facing a crisis situation. It’s a great way to give back to our neighbors who need it most. A big thank you goes to the Cambridge Commercial Club!
