Cambridge FFA Excels at State Leadership Conference

Twin Falls, Idaho — The Cambridge FFA Chapter showcased its strength, skill, and leadership at the 95th Annual State Leadership Conference, held April 1–4, 2026, on the campus of the College of Southern Idaho. With 28 members in attendance, the chapter made a strong impression under this year’s theme, “In the Moment.”
The conference began Wednesday with the CSI Invitational Livestock Judging Event, where more than 400 members and over 200 teams competed. The Cambridge team of Ridge Loveland, Eric Loveland, Porter Loveland, Briggs Papineau, and Luke Loveland earned an impressive 9th place overall finish.
Also competing Wednesday, the Poultry Career Development Event (CDE) team—Madalyn Reynolds, Ty Gladhard, Frankie Crocco, and Jacob Altman—secured 9th place overall. The day concluded with the Floriculture CDE, featuring team members Madalyn Reynolds, Mary Lancaster, Hayven Browning, and Rubi Miller.
Leadership opportunities were also a highlight of the week. Haven Harley entered the State Officer selection process, while Devin Mendoza served on the Nominating Committee. Chapter officers also showcased their talents in the newly introduced Talent Show, advancing to the semi-finals.
On Thursday, 10 members participated in industry tours, visiting the Amalgamated Sugar facility in Twin Falls. Those attending included Briggs Papineau, Luke Loveland, Porter Loveland, Ridge Loveland, Kellan Moura, Eric Loveland, Ty Gladhard, JD Dunham, Frankie Crocco, and Jacob Altman.
In competitive events, the Horse Evaluation CDE team—Audry Winkles, Macki Winkles, and Madalyn Reynolds—placed 10th overall. Kadence Adams represented both the chapter and the Western Idaho District in the Extemporaneous Speaking Leadership Development Event (LDE).
Individual and chapter achievements were a major highlight of the conference. Wyatt Moura was named the Western Idaho District Star in Ag Placement, while Bridger Miller earned the Western Idaho District Star in Agribusiness. Both members advanced through a rigorous interview process, with Miller ultimately being named the State Star in Agribusiness.
Additionally, both Moura and Miller were finalists in their respective proficiency areas—Diversified Crop Production and Turfgrass Management. Miller was named the state winner in Turfgrass Management and will advance to the national level.
The chapter also received a Gold Award for its National Chapter application, qualifying it for national competition.
Friday brought continued success as Cambridge members competed in the Ag Sales CDE, earning 2nd place in the state. Individual honors included MacKee Nichols as the 1st high
individual, JD Dunham as the 1st high individual in Telephone Skills, and Kellan Moura as the 3rd high individual in Customer Relations. Jack Papineau also contributed as part of the Sales team. Devin Mendoza competed in the Employment Skills LDE.
MacKee Nichols, serving as Chapter Historian, earned 2nd place for the chapter’s 2025–2026 scrapbook. Emma Ford and Morgan Tabert represented the chapter as official delegates throughout the conference.
Seven Cambridge FFA members were awarded their State FFA Degrees, the organization’s highest state-level honor. Recipients included Wyatt Moura, Bridger Miller, Emma Ford, Ty Gladhart, Frankie Crocco, Morgan Tabert, and Madalyn Reynolds.
With numerous top finishes, individual recognitions, and leadership accomplishments, the Cambridge FFA Chapter demonstrated excellence at every level, making their community proud on the state stage.
