Members of the Western Idaho District competed in the Agricultural Sales and Employment Skills Leadership Development Events on Monday.

The Agricultural Sales LDE consists of a four-member team. Two members’ roles are to be salespeople for a product they have chosen and researched. They have ten minutes to present their product to the judges and answer any questions as needed. First place in Sales A - was Jack Papineau. First place in Sales B - was MacKee Nichols. Two practicums are completed by the other two team members. Telephone skills and Customer Relations are this years’ practicums. Kellan Moura was first place in Customer Relations and JD Dunham was second place in Telephone Skills. These four were the first place team overall and will now compete at the State Leadership Conference in April in Twin Falls.

Employment Skills is an LDE that allows members to prepare for and participate in an actual job interview process. These members must present a cover letter, resume, complete a job application, participate in an interview, then complete a follow-up letter at the conclusion of the interview. Devin Mendoza was first place in the event and will also advance to state in April.
