Candidate Filing Deadline - Aug. 29

Last week we published a list of elected offices that are up for election this fall with the deadline to declare for these offices of August 29 at 5:00 p.m..

We unintentionally excluded elected offices in the cities of Council and New Meadows that are up for election. Although these were announced in the Legal Notices in the same issue, they should have been on this list as well.

We just want to make it clear that the following seats are up for election this fall with the incumbents listed in parentheses:

Council

Mayor (Bruce Gardner, 4 year term)

Council member (Mendy Stanford, 4 year term)

Council member (Dan Huter, 4 year term)

New Meadows

Mayor (Julie Good, 4 year term)

Council member (Shiloh Ryker, 4 year term)

Council member (Traci Foster, 4 year term)

Vacant council member seat due to the resignation of Josh Carr (2 year term)
