The Council Chamber of Commerce held their 1st Annual Chamber Ball this past Saturday at the Adams County Rec Center. Chamber President Katie Church told me that the chamber decided to do this so that they can better recognize the recipients of their awards. In addition to recognizing locals who contribute to the community, it was a good evening for networking as well.

The 2024 awards presented and their awardee are as follows:

Man of the Year - Mayor Bruce Gardner

Woman of the Year - Shani Smith

Non-Profit of the Year - The Thrifty Shoppe

Business of the Year - Huptye

First Responder of the Year - Vivian Ratcliff

Teacher of the Year - Robyn Warner

About 110 people attended the evening which was catered by S&A BBQ. The bar was provided by The Boardroom at Wilson’s lounge and the DJ was Will Montgomery.
