City Approves ARPA Funding Expenditures
A special city council meeting was held on Monday December 30, 2024 to approve the expenditure of ‘ARPA’ funds This was the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. The city received ARPA funds in 2021 and 2022 in the amount of $192,295.91.
All city council members were in attendance: Mayor Bruce Gardener, David Tubridy, Mendy Stanford, Mark Edwards and Dan Huter. Also in attendance were Deputy Clerk Pepper Jordan, Public Works supervisor Caleb Shumway and City clerk Ashley Scott.
The council approved a motion to spend the allocated money to purchase the following items:
$31,354.00 Corwin Ford for a new all wheel drive city car.
$69,238.00 Kendal GMC for a new city four wheel drive pickup.
$50,000.00 to prepay MSBT Law office for a comprehensive plan to revise the city zoning codes, revision and authorization of the city impact agreement and ordinances, revision of water and waste water codes, revision of city animal control and nuisance codes.
$41,703.91 to Great West Engineering to create a comprehensive plan working with MSBT law offices.
