Storytime is happening at Meadows Valley Public Library! Once a month, through the school year, kids get together for stories, crafts or games and yummy treats. The library has had three storytime days since the school year started.

The first was “Creativity” on September 13th with 19 kids. Library director, Audrey Crogh, read Beautiful Oops! and Sky Color, then the kids did a fun sand art craft and enjoyed suckers. The next storytime was “Candy” on October 11th also with 19 kids. Audrey read Bad Kitty Does Not Like Candy and Oliver’s Lollipops. Everyone gathered in the other room after the stories, received little cups of creepy candy and played Halloween themed Bingo. Prizes for winners were eerie Halloween candies. The latest storytime was “Squirrel” with 15 kids. The books were Scaredy Squirrel and The Leaf Thief. The youngsters got to build 3D foam squirrel houses this time and, like a squirrel, they “gathered” three items from a variety of treats set out on a table.

The next storytime is “Snowman” on December 13th, after school, from 4:00 - 4:45. Don’t let your kids miss it!
