Council youth baseball players and their coaches met at Napa in Council this past Saturday to raise money after two teams worth of baseball equipment was stolen from storage.

Josh Thurlow with Adams County Parks and Recreation told me that over the course of almost four hours on Saturday afternoon they were able to raise over $3,300 washing cars and selling baked treats.

Thurlow also said that he would like to see the youth fundraise every year before the start of the season. He said this success is ‘thanks to this awesome community!’

Cars were washed, hot dogs were cooked and funds were raised to replace stolen athletic gear. Photo credit: The Record Reporter.
