Council Community Church Online Auction
The Council Community Church is preparing to send five members of their church to Kenya for a Mission trip. As a Church, we sponsor twelve missionaries in the United States and around the world on a monthly basis. One of the missionaries we sponsor is Caring Hearts and Hands of Hope in Kenya. Caring Hearts and Hands of Hope is an organization that provides medical support to students in need, allowing them to focus on learning and breaking the cycle of poverty. They also raise funds to help poor children in Kenya with high school and university education.
It all started in 2010 when Dr. Vincent Muli-Kituku returned to Kenya after living in America for 24 years. He became “demoralized” while witnessing the devastating poverty (caused largely by AIDS). “These children have nothing, not even parents to provide for them or keep them safe.” Seeing this inspired Dr. Vincent Muli-Kituku to help. Understanding that the children’s success in life would need to come through education, in 2011, Vincent founded Caring Hearts and Hands of Hope, knowing that’s exactly what it would take. Caring Hearts willing to donate any way they are able to, and Hands of Hope to provide guidance and make sure these donations are going exactly where they are meant to. They are a non-profit organization that was founded with the sole mission of providing educational sponsorship for the most hardworking, yet neediest of children.
The Church is raising funds to help covers costs of sending the five members of the Church to Kenya. We have partnered with Treasure Valley Auction Company and are having an online benefit auction at this time. We encourage everyone to go online and bid on many awesome donated items to help the Church raise the necessary funds.
