Council Elementary Students shake local Veteran’s hands after singing their service songs and honoring them.

Students, staff and community members gathered at the Council High School gymnasium on the 11th to honor local Veterans.

Mr. Powers, the history teacher, started off the assembly. The elementary students then sang each services’ song after a short introduction by high school students. The elementary students brought a lot of enthusiasm and energy to the songs. This musical performance is thanks to Council’s new music teacher, Kati Sheldon.

After the singing and assembly the students lined up to shake hands with the local Veterans.
