Council Thrifty Shoppe Needs Volunteers

Well folks, we knew it would happen...and yesterday it did. With a limited number of volunteers who are trained to open and handle the cash till, (volunteers who have responsibilities, appointments, family issues and unavoidable health issues) there will be times the store must stay closed due to unavailability of volunteers to open and operate the store.

We apologize if you weren’t able to shop yesterday. We appreciate your understanding. We have a FABULOUS group of volunteers, each with different skill sets and ways of serving our store and each of you - sorting, hanging clothes, organizing and cleaning, pricing and merchandising, and running the cash register.

Each and every one of our volunteers is INTEGRAL to the success of our store! Sadly, if we do not get more consistent volunteers who are willing to commit to a weekly volunteer day - Fridays and Saturdays are our highest need - we will have to reduce our hours to being open four days a week instead of five.
