Dinner for our Firefighters & EMT’s

Cambridge, Idaho is a small town filled with a wealth of charm, quaint buildings, and a community of people who have hearts of gold. It’s a town where everyone is willing to help, chip in, and care for one another. The Cambridge Fire & Ambulance comprises at least 30 volunteer firefighters and EMTs who do not call this their regular job. No, these are skilled individuals who are prepared to risk their lives in order to save ours, on top of their 9 to 5 employment. Some individuals have volunteered for 40+ years in the community.
How can one say thank you? Well, one generous individual has. Violet Schroeder has taken it upon herself to show the wonderful group of volunteers some love and appreciation by cooking up a flavorful dinner for them. Violet says she tries to do this for them at least 4x a year. Everything is handmade by Violet, and she cooks to feed the masses. Her dinners have an Asian flare to them, with many dishes from her home country of the Philippines. It’s her way of giving back to them and saying thank you for all their hard work.
As everyone dishes up a plate, the room becomes quieter as all are enjoying the delicious meal, even one volunteer exclaimed “Violet this is very good!”
A generous deed to our amazing volunteers. From all of us in the community, Thank you for your amazing dedication and hard work. Also, thank you to Violet Schroeder being such a kind soul.
