Council area dumpsters and garbage bins are full and overflowing, but that will change this week.

Lakeshore Disposal Site Manager Terry Stewart said that commercial garbage pickup will resume on Thursday, March 27th, and residential garbage pickup will resume on Friday March 28th.

He said that Lakeshore Disposal has two drivers on the south side of the washed-out road just north of the East Fork Road on Highway 95, and that those drivers will keep two garbage trucks on the south side of the damaged roadway for the foreseeable future.

He said he was told by the Idaho Department of Transportation that the road will be closed off and on for the next six weeks.

Stewart also said that Lakeshore Disposal will take any extra garbage that is left next to containers and clean up any mess caused by their inability to come last week.
