A ‘real’ lion and 24 children attended the Meadows Valley Library Story Time on Wednesday, September 11 at 4PM. Kayrene Brown read ‘Watch Out for the Lion’ a funny book with surprises on every page and ‘How to be a Lion’ about a lion and a duck who become friends and stand up to trouble. Roars and laughter could be heard during the story.

Afterward, children went to the community room for a craft and received candy necklaces with a lion paw medallion. Librarian Audrey Crogh led the kids in making a lion pillow complete with knot tying and stuffing.

Story Time takes place on the second Wednesday of each month. The next program is titled Pumpkin Mouse and will be on Wednesday, October 9. All children and their families are welcome.
