Midvale Brings in Christmas With Music and Lights

How does a singer see their music in the dark? Ask any member of the Upper Country Singers.
On Saturday evening, after a day spent installing lots of Christmas lights around the park, the community of Midvale came together for the annual Christmas tree lighting.
To bring the holiday spirit to the occasion, the Upper Country Singers performed a few carols. A variety of lights for the music were seen, some installed on the singers’ caps. The countdown from ten brought out the lights in the very tall evergreen tree near the north end of the park. After a prayer of thanksgiving, Preacher Kevin Hooper invited everyone to the Church of Christ where Santa would be available for the many children in the crowd. Very fancy decorated cookies, each individually wrapped were served.
The announcement was made that the annual Upper Country Singers concert will be Sunday, December 7, at 3:00. Also it was advised to get to the Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall early as seats fill quickly.
