issue.
For his senior project, Elias DeVries chose to build an exercise sled and install artificial turf outside of the Midvale weight room to give back to his school and community. Elias chose this project because he is an athlete and enjoys training in the weight room. Instead of buying regular weightlifting machines he decided to build a weight sled that could be used for pushing, pulling, and explosive work for athletes. Elias hopes that people will use the project to better themselves in their sports or whatever their goals are.
Michael Kysar chose to give back to Midvale high school teachers, and other staff by making name plates for many of them.
Lola Warren’s and Sidney Whitener’s senior project was focused on supporting students and staff at Midvale Elementary School. Together, they raised money to purchase educational toys and materials for classrooms, as well as to help build whiteboard tables for students to use during lessons. The goal of the project was to create more engaging and interactive learning spaces for younger students while giving teachers additional resources. This project reflects both girls interest in working with children and giving back to their local community.
Jace Waggoner chose to use his knowledge of welding and built a blocking chute for his senior project. He built it for current and future 4-H members.
Wyatt Stiff and Logan May chose a senior project that brought the community together with a fun obstacle course. It was centered around what Wyatt learned at basic last summer for his military training.
Alyssa Britton chose a senior project that gave to those suffering from pediatric cancer. Her project is called Bald for Bucks and raised over $1,200, and was sent to St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital.
Wesley Barton chose a senior project to give back to Midvale School, as he took a photo with his drone to showcase Midvale School’s new buildings and the campus.
Ezekiel Montezuma Pearson for his Senior Project decided to aid the Midvale SRO (School Resource Officer) Kip Hicks, put together and give Emergency Classroom Buckets to both Midvale and Cambridge schools as a resource in the event of an emergency for our students and teachers.
Albert Farrens chose a project that updated the main office desk in the school making better use of the space and making the office look better.
