New Meadows JV Track Competes

Meadows Valley Junior High Track and Field competed in their second meet of the season this past Friday, April 11 with home team Salmon River Savages and the Cascade Ramblers.

The team made a good showing with more than a few new personal records and 8th grader Leah Anderson qualifying for the end of season YMCA Invitational with a long jump of 13’6”.

With the Highway 95 road closure the meets have been smaller than normal missing Payette, Council, and Tri-Valley teams. Meadows Valley Athletic Director Brandy Padgett has been looking for alternatives with the league and the team has been invited to participate in a meet in McCall depending on snow levels at their facility. Currently, the end of season league meet on May 2 has been scheduled in Horseshoe Bend.
