New Years Eve Fireman’s Social
Save the date for New Year’s Eve because this is an event you definitely don’t want to overlook! The Cambridge Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a dinner, dance, and auction on New Year’s Eve. The Social is set to take place at the Washington County Exhibit Hall in Cambridge as a fundraiser for the department. Their primary objective is to collect funds for the acquisition of SCBAs for the volunteers. This is a crucial item for the department, as it offers respiratory protection for our firefighters and emergency responders from dangerous substances, smoke, toxic fumes, and environments that may pose an immediate threat to life and health. Their existing SCBAs are obsolete and fail to meet compliance standards; they require new ones to ensure the safety of volunteers as they safeguard our community.
The Fire Department would be grateful for your assistance and support in achieving this goal. Therefore, come and enjoy a wonderful evening filled with delicious food, music, dancing, and fantastic items up for auction. The live auction will showcase products such as a semi-truck full of firewood logs, which will be delivered to the Tri-Valley region, next spring’s beef, an Alaskan fishing adventure, a handcrafted quilt, various pieces of artwork, pottery, a pallet of chopped firewood, and a telescope equipped with a computerized mount, along with other intriguing items. Additionally, there will be a silent auction featuring a variety of fantastic items.
Tickets are available for purchase at the door or can be obtained at Loveland’s or the Cambridge Lumber Store. The cost is $25 per person and $10 for children aged 12 and under.
A fireworks display is scheduled for midnight, so make sure you plan to be there!
