It was another miracle Easter morning when about fifty believers gathered on Midvale Hill to celebrate their hope in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Not a leaf stirred. The flags hung straight down on their poles. The birds viewed the service from the tree tops, and the sun rose on a cloudless and windless morning. Just three days earlier, wind gusts registered 55 mph at the top of the hill, causing drivers to grip tight to their steering wheels.

The annual event started off with coffee and donuts provided by Love INC of Washington County. To begin the service Midvale Church of Christ preacher Kevin Hooper introduced the four other pastors who would be participating in the program. They were from Midvale Community Baptist Church, Midvale Cowboy Church, Cambridge First Baptist Church and Cambridge Assembly of God Church. The crowd sang “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross”, “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Jesus Paid it All.” Scripture was read, a short message was given and a final prayer of benediction was given as the sun rose.

A survey of the crowd revealed that worshipers were there from Payette, Cambridge, Midvale and the far reaches of Crane Creek. After the service, some went back to the coffee and donuts and much visiting was done with many who see each other once a year at this event.
