Problems Caused by Missing Signs

Attention Adams County residents! There has been a climbing number of signage theft throughout different parts of the county, more specifically on Grays Creek, Highlands, Goodrich, and Kilborn Ln.

This generates a number of issues. This behavior is delaying emergency responses and the replacement cost will have to come from the taxpayers. Additionally, lack of proper signage increases the risk of traffic accidents.

The Sheriff is requesting the public’s assistance in locating these signs and returning them to the Sheriff’s Office, no questions asked. Also, please use this opportunity to discuss with your children the seriousness of theft and its consequences.

The last time this occurred in Adams County the investigation resulted in search warrants being granted on private residences to recover the stolen items.
