Raising ‘Out of Area’ Subscription Rates

The time has come for us to raise the rates for subscribers who receive their paper outside of Adams & Washington counties. Mailing newspapers outside this area has always cost more and new postage rates came into effect in January.

The new rates for subscriptions mailed outside of Adams & Washington counties will be $60 for 1 year and $110 for 2 years. These new rates will be in effect March 1st.

We are launching a website soon where you can login to view the week’s news. We hope that this online access eases the cost burden for those living outside our home area. (Note: We wanted to let you know that yes, we are launching an honest to goodness news website ‘soon’. And that our print edition is not changing and will be around for years to come. That’s our plan anyway.)
