The Washington County Fair Board is proud to announce Roy and Linda Mink as the 2025 Grand Marshals of the Washington County Fair and Rodeo. This honor celebrates their lifetime of dedication to ranching, community involvement, and the enduring values of rural life in Washington County.

Roy Mink is a U.S. Army veteran who enlisted, completed Officer Candidate School, and served two years in Vietnam as a First Lieutenant responsible for convoys. Upon returning home, Roy continued to serve his community in numerous ways: as a county commissioner, a member of the Southwest District Health Board, and as an active participant on both the fair and rodeo boards. A legacy ranch owner/operator, Roy has helped carry on his family’s multi-generational livestock operation along Pine Creek and the Cambridge valley. He also supported his local community by providing his time as a bus driver for the high school athletic teams, a role fondly remembered by many.

Linda Mink is a beloved 4-H leader with more than 25 years of service and was a charter member of the Idaho State 4-H Leaders Council. She led the Hells Canyon Backpack program for over 30 years, introducing countless youth to the outdoors and leadership development. A pioneer in her own right, Linda was also one of only two women to hold a Limited Master Captain (LMT) license on the Snake River. For several years she also added a humorous and creative touch to community traditions as one of the light-hearted Hitt Mountain Hillbillies during the Washington County parade.

Married for over 52 years, Roy and Linda raised seven sons along Pine Creek, all of whom graduated from Cambridge High School. The couple now enjoys winters in Salome, Arizona, and continues to cherish visits from their Idaho friends and neighbors.

“We are honored to celebrate Roy and Linda as this year’s Grand Marshals,” said a Fair Board representative. “Their deep commitment to service, tradition, and the fabric of this community is what the Washington County Fair and Rodeo is all about.”

Join us in honoring Roy and Linda Mink during the 2025 parade and throughout this year’s fair festivities.
