Two weeks ago I wrote that Jenny Seubert was awaiting a jury trial for her lawsuit against the Council School District. Since then, the District confirmed that Seubert was paid a settlement of $100,000. This money was paid by Idaho Counties Risk Management Program, or ICRMP, the District’s insurance as a public entity.

This settlement stems from the tort claim, and later lawsuit, that Jenny Seubert filed against the Council School District and Clete Edmunson. The lawsuit was filed in Valley County and was scheduled for a jury trial until the case was dismissed since the parties agreed upon this settlement. The rest of the terms of the settlement are confidential. The funds awarded were public money.
