Superintendent Search

The Council School Board held a special board meeting to interview two candidates for the district superintendent position on January 24th at the Council High School. This position is now held by Mike Howard who came out of retirement and is working part time this year to help provide the district with leadership.

Two of the current candidates for superintendent are Mr. Brian Joyce who is the Dean of Students and History Teacher, and Mr. Pat Griffin who is currently the Elementary Principal.

The board elected not to interview Mr. Griffin or Mr. Joyce yet during an executive session during this meeting.

Additionally, the board did decide to expand the search for candidates to include candidates from outside the district as well.

It was decided that Krissy Lamont with Building Better Boards will manage the superintendent search for the district.
