Track Season Starts

The Council High boys & girls track teams went to Owyhee High School in Meridian this past Saturday to compete in their first meet of the season. Other teams competing were Meridian, Nampa, Nampa Christian and Owyhee.

Overall, both Council teams placed 5th at the meet. The following are some standout performances from local student athletes.

Hope Zollman - 1st in Discus and Shot Put

Dahlton Bingham - 1st in the 200 meter sprint, 2nd in the 100 meter sprint and 3rd place in the Long Jump

Rhianna Iveson - 5th place in the Triple Jump

Camden Roundtree - 4th in the Long Jump

Cora Bingham - 6th in Long Jump

Wade Vining - 7th in Shot Put

The next track meet is on Thursday, March 14th at New Plymouth where Council, Tri-Valley and Meadows Valley will be competing against other teams at this event.
