Tri-Valley Cross-Country Coach Recognized

Coach Hollon of Tri-Valley was awarded the District III 1A Cross Country “Coach of the Year” Award from the Third District Coaches association for the 2023 Girls Tri-Valley Cross Country season. This is the third year in a row Coach Hollon has been awarded this recognition. Votes from fellow coaches in the district are tallied to determine each years winner.

Coach Hollon has 6 years of coaching behind him with 5 of those years with Tri-Valley. The 2023 girls Cross Country team finished 2nd at Districts and 4th at State. “I can’t imagine work that is more rewarding than what I get to do as a coach” said Coach Hollon.

A quote he likes to share with his student athletes is “He who gives more when it hurts, gets more when it’s over”.
