Upcoming Cambridge Quilt Show
Join us for the Cambridge Quilt show from May 31 to June 9, 2024 at the Cambridge high school gym.
The Upper Country Quilt Show is an annual event that began over 30 years ago, then known as the Council Quilt Show. In 2020, the torch was passed to Linda Rhoades, Phyllis Evans, Cristi Toothman, Ardis Bool, and many other local ladies which made it into The Upper Country Quilt Show to include the surrounding communities. They lead the Quilt Show for the first time in 2021 and have continued running it since.
We encourage everyone to enter their quilts in the show for a chance of winning first place! There are five categories that can be entered in; Adult Quilts, Adult Themed Quilts, Student Quilts, Student Themed Quilts, and Challenge Block.
Adult Quilts and Student Quilts entries can be of any fashion. Winners will be viewers choice.
The Theme Quilt this year for both Adults and Students is “Country Living.” Picture country life in anyway you feel like expressing, have fun with it and be creative!
The Challenge Block is a fun way to get involved in the Quilt Show. Each year a theme is picked and a fabric is chosen which you have to use in your block. The block must have a unfinished size of 12.5 inch square. For 2024 the theme is “Country Living” and the fabric is a patterned rich blue. The winner of Viewers Choice will receive up to 12 of the entered blocks.
Stop by to vote for your favorite quilts and Challenge block then visit the Donation Table. Here you’ll find all kinds of hand made products. If there’s something you like, make a donation and it’s yours! All donations go to fundraising the Quilt Show.
