Visitors Center Opens in Midvale

Did you ever wonder what was inside that tiny, landscaped building at the entrance to Midvale? You can now go inside and find out.
Elsa Freeman, who administers the Midvale Marketplace, Inc. nonprofit, has opened the building to visitors with plenty of brochures about Idaho, maps, and Weiser River Trail information. Also, when the building is open, visitors will find local items for sale. There were leather goods, pottery, decorator items and even a glass butter churn. Last week there was also produce from the local community garden which could be had for a donation.
Elsa would like people to volunteer for a few hours to greet visitors and share information about the area. With the Merc nearby, and the public restrooms, the location receives lots of drive by traffic from the highway. She can be reached at (208) 473-6292 if you would like to volunteer.
