Things are kind of quiet around here as we get ready for our Hells Canyon Days All-You-Can-Eat Taco Feed on Friday, June 5th, from 4 to 7:00 p.m. The Cambridge Commercial Club has donated two Weekend Passes to the Hells Canyon Festivities for us to share with some lucky members of the Senior Center. The drawing will be held this coming Wednesday, June 3rd, right after lunch.
The weekend pass includes entrance to the quilt show at the Cambridge High School (all weekend) and to the Taco Feed at the senior center on Friday night, June 6th. Plus entrance to the Rodeo right after the Taco Feed.
On Saturday, the Pass entitles you to breakfast at the Washington County Fairgrounds, hosted by the Cambridge Baptist Church. The Truck and Car show, a matinee Rodeo at 1:00 p.m. at the Fairgrounds, and a BBQ, hosted by the Cambridge Rodeo Association, and last but not least, entrance to the Hells Canyon Jam Concert! It’s going to be a busy weekend, that’s for sure.
Our June Bingo Game will be held on Thursday, June 4th, from 6 to 8:00 p.m. I went to the game in May, and the stars must have been in alignment, because I won three games! It’s so unusual for me to win, I probably should have gone out and bought a lottery ticket to boot!
We have a silent Auction that will also be ending on Friday, June 5th. If you haven’t been in for a while, stop by and see if anything tickles your fancy. You might just find something that you can’t live without.
It’s time for the menu: Friday, June 5th: All-You-Can-Eat Taco Feed Fundraiser! 4 to 7:00 p.m. $15 per person! Wednesday, June 10th: Meatloaf, Baked Potato with butter & sour cream, Wheat Roll, Peas, Apricots, and Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp. Friday, June 12th: Homemade Macaroni and Cheese, Stewed Tomatoes, Bran muffins, Salad, Apricots, and Dessert.
I hope you can come out to our Taco Feed this Friday, June 5th, from 4 to 7:00 p.m. The funds we raise will go a long way toward meeting our matching funds goal for the Rural Development Grant we were recently awarded. Please come and bring all your friends and relations. Together we can do this!
