The Cambridge FFA Chapter is celebrating an outstanding year of achievement after several members earned national recognition at the 2025 National FFA Convention, marking one of the chapter’s most successful showings in recent history.

Zane Nichols and Russell Noah received the prestigious American FFA Degree, the highest honor bestowed by the National FFA Organization. Fewer than 1% of FFA members nationwide earn this degree each year. It recognizes years of dedication to agricultural education, SAE development, leadership, and community service. Both Nichols and Noah have demonstrated exceptional commitment to their programs, serving as role models within the chapter and across the state.

Adding to the chapter’s achievements, Jace Mink was named a National Proficiency Award Finalist in Oil Crop Production Entrepreneurship. His project, which focuses on the management and marketing of his straw yields, stood out among applicants from across the country. Proficiency finalists represent the top four programs in each area nationally, placing Mink among the most accomplished SAE students in modern agriculture.

Rounding out Cambridge’s national success, MacKee Nichols earned a Bronze Rating in Agriscience, recognizing her careful research, data collection, and innovation in her Agriscience Fair project on egg substitutes in recipes. Her work showcases the chapter’s dedication to hands-on scientific inquiry and applying classroom learning to real-world agricultural challenges.

Cambridge FFA advisor Amy Nichols expressed pride in the students’ accomplishments. “These students set incredibly ambitious goals and worked tirelessly to meet them. Their achievements reflect not only individual effort but also the support of families, our school, and the Cambridge community,” she said.

With national honors spanning leadership, entrepreneurship, and agriscience, Cambridge FFA continues to demonstrate that exceptional agricultural education thrives in rural Idaho.
