For the past several days my landline phone hasn’t worked. My ‘pick up and go’ phone said that the line was in use. I called my neighbor and her phone worked. I wasn’t in any hurry to “fix” the phone as I liked not having the telemarketers calling. Well, today I finally remembered I had one extra phone that I didn’t check. Sure enough the cats knocked it off the end table and behind a recliner. After I extracted it and hung up the receiver my phone worked! I’m glad I put off calling the phone company to come check it out. I was embarrassed enough all by myself!
It doesn’t seem like January should be almost over. Just a reminder, we are having our membership drive. You don’t need to be a member to come and enjoy the senior center. It is one of the ways in which we raise money to go toward our expenses.
We serve lunch at 12 noon on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. For Take-Out Meals, please call in your order by 10:00 a.m. and pick up is from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. If you are ordering multiple meals please try and call in the day before. The February Menus are ready for pick up.
The menu for the coming week: Friday January 30th: Bacon & Scrambled Eggs, Hashbrown Potatoes, Biscuits & Gravy, Juice, Cottage Cheese w/Mandarin Orange Slices, and Dessert. Tuesday February 3rd: Sweet & Sour Chicken, Fried Rice, Peas, Bread, Green Salad, Fruit, and Dessert. Wednesday February 4th: Roast Beef, Mashed Potatoes w/Gravy, Corn, Roll, Green Salad, Fruit, and Dessert.
Our next Bingo will be on February 6th. No one won the black out so the pot will go to $140 and Jared will be calling 59 numbers. Unless something comes up, we have bingo on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month. For new players, folks start showing up around 6:30 p.m. or after and Jared starts calling at 7:00 p.m. It costs a quarter per card, and you can play as many cards as you want. The last game is the blackout game and it costs $1.00 per card. Please call me at the Center (208) 253-4282) if you have any questions. Thank you to all who come out and support us.

It will answer St. Lukes Foot Clinic. You can also text to this number. The clinic fills up fast so be sure to call ahead to get on the list.
