Holiday Schedule
Please be advised that City Hall in Council will be closed in observance of the upcoming holiday season on the following dates:
Thursday, November 27 (Thanksgiving)
Wednesday, December 24 (Christmas Eve)
Thursday, December 25 (Christmas Day)
Thursday, January 1 (New Year’s Day)
Normal business hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. For urgent matters during these closures, please call (208) 253-4201 for direction. The City of Council wishes all residents a safe and happy holiday season.
Reminder Business Owners In Council
If you operate a business in city limits, business and liquor licenses need to be purchased by January 1, 2026. If you need further information, contact City Hall at 253-4201
Renew Dog Tag/Kennel Licenses In Council
If you live in city limits, please stop by City Hall to purchase your 2026 dog tags and kennel license before January 10, 2026. Altered $15.00, Unaltered $30.00, Kennel License $50.00 Per City Code 5-3B-2, proof of rabies vaccination must be presented at license purchase.
Snow Removal
With the winter months quickly coming upon us, I would like to remind everyone to keep the streets right-of-way clear to ensure we can plow the city streets safely and effectively. Also, please do not leave your garbage containers in the street during snow removal hours (2:00 a.m. through 6:00 a.m.).
