Danna Barnhart of Council will volunteer to ensure that kids who want to participate in Idaho Fish and Game’s Free Fishing Day can do so at Ol’ McDonald pond in Boise-Cascade park. This year’s event is on June 13 at 9 a.m..
Danna will have poles on loan for those who need one. She does ask that kids come with an adult to assist with putting worms on hooks and other general help. She would also love to have other volunteers present as well, maybe some with more fishing expertise.
Danna says the pond is looking better than last year and that Fish and Game will be stocking the pond this week sometime before the free fishing day.
