I keep hoping that families would be one in love and unity, however, that is not always the case. Families can hurt each other out of jealousy or bitterness or so many other things. Each family member makes choices that will either cause joy or hopelessness. Sometimes those choices are our own, and sometimes someone else’s. We have to take responsibility for our choices, but there is nothing we can do about the choices others make. But I do know that God has a plan for you, and even if we make bad choices, or someone else in our family makes bad choices, and it seems our world is turned upside down, God’s plan will still come to pass.
Genesis 37 tells the story of a young boy, Joseph, that was part of a big family. He had dreams from God that in time, he would rule over his brothers. His brothers were not impressed, and they sold their own brother into slavery. They think, he is gone, problem solved. But during those days of slavery, God blessed and readied this young man. He gained favor from some, and was lied about and forgotten about by others. He went to prison because of a lie. But through all of it, God’s Hand was still on him, and in the end, the dream, God’s plan, came to pass.
God’s great plan for you will come about. There will be bumps in the road, but go with His plan!
