Foot Clinic November 24

Janice Cawyer
December 10, 2025

Since I wrote my column from home last week, I inadvertently provided an incorrect date for our next foot clinic. The actual date is Monday, November 24th. I was going by previous years’ examples, when if the clinic was in the same week of either Thanksgiving or Christmas, the date was always one week earlier. One thing I dislike about writing from home is that I can’t double-check my dates. I apologize for any confusion I might have caused.

I have just received information from the Area Agency on Aging and the Idaho Commission on Aging that we are required to have everyone re-register on a new form that includes an “Attestation of Lawful Presence in the United States” clause. Not only that, but if you are a visitor or a volunteer, there are “Attestation Forms” that must be signed.

My understanding is that we will lose funding for those meals we serve to persons who haven’t re-registered or signed one of the forms for a visitor or volunteer. I haven’t received a specific date for when they are due, but I plan to have the forms available on Wednesday, November 19th, to begin the process. Please arrive a few minutes early to allow time to complete these forms.

We received a wonderful donation from Midvale Marketplace, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, founded by Lane Williams and his lovely wife, Elsa Freeman. Elsa and the board for this organization are dissolving the Non-Profit. They have generously donated some of those funds to the Cambridge, Midvale, and Goodrich Senior Center.

I want to thank Midvale Marketplace, Inc., a nonprofit organization, Elsa, and the Board of Directors for their generous donation. We will put the funds to good use.
