Forest Management or Control?

Leonard Wallace , New Meadows
February 19, 2025

Our forest are being manage for first and foremost money and next is power and control, when you enter the forest, you will see a sign that says “ entering motor vehicle restriction area stay on routes designated on motor vehicle use map.” they are putting water bars in all new roads and some old roads to keep people out .

You can camp in pay campgrounds or you can camp up to 300 feet off roads for disperse camping but only for ten days.

I thought the forests were public land to be used as we saw fit not to be told where and how we could use the forest.

An example to illustrate this my wife passed in 2012 she wanted her ashes place behind the house at a place called fart rock which I did, I went to the forest managers told them that I had a ATV trail up there so I could go set with her they said I should. Everything was good even after they logged and burnt the area. In 2022 I had an excellent trail up there the cattle and the livestock were using it. Then apparently there was a change in the administration as in early 2023 They went and put two tank traps in my trail couldn’t be crossed with anything without filling they also put tops and logs in it till the cattle and wildlife wouldn’t use it.

Is this management or control?
