Recently, Jeffry Tucker, a contributor to the opinion pages of the Epoch Times, wrote
about his experience attending a Trump rally in Arizona. He was staying in a hotel and
could not sleep because of the noise. He finally got up at 3:00 a.m. to find a crowd outside
lined up around the block waiting for the event, many who were visiting with each other
and sometimes cheering. He determined that they were experiencing “happiness, relief,
and hope for the future.”
Here I will quote him: “These people all just want their lives back. They want the
freedom to practice their faith, raise their kids, start and work in businesses, safely walk
the streets, publish and read the truth, eat healthy food, and be rewarded for their labors.
They want to trust their doctors again. They want to like their schools again, and go to
movies without being assaulted by creepy messaging.”
I suspect that everyone in our little valley here wants some of these things or more than
some of these things to happen in our society going forward. It is going to be an interesting
thing to watch as this new administration begins the job of making these things
happen. But buckle up. It will be a rough ride.
