As a parent of three students in our public schools, a dedicated coach, and community volunteer, I am excited to run for the school board. As an educator myself, I care deeply and am motivated by the success of all students and I believe in the strength of our schools.
I’ve been closely involved in our district throughout the last 4 years—as a parent attending school events, a coach that loves mentoring our youth, and as a community member engaged in conversations about education. These experiences have shown me both great things happening in our schools and the areas that need improvement. I believe that every child should have access to a high-quality education that challenges them academically, supports them emotionally, and prepares them for a successful future.
My priorities are simple and focused:
Academic Excellence: Our students deserve the best education we can offer. I will support high standards, strong curriculum, and resources that help all students—regardless of background—reach their full potential. I will advocate for our educators to help support them in their efforts of increasing student engagement and the strengthening of their curriculum.
Transparency and Communication: Parents and community members deserve open, honest, and accessible communication from their school board. I will advocate for clear decision-making processes, regular updates, and greater opportunities for community input. Community voices should be heard and respected.
Support for Teachers and Staff: Great schools start with great educators. I will support policies that will help recruit and retain high-quality teachers and staff. I will support professional development and help to ensure that our staff receive the respect that they deserve.
I am not a career politician—I’m a parent, a coach, an educator, and someone who is deeply invested in the future of our school district. I believe in listening first, asking tough but respectful questions, and always putting students at the center of every decision.
Our schools are a vital part of our community. With thoughtful leadership, transparent governance, and a focus on student achievement, we can make them even stronger. I’m ready to serve, and I respectfully ask for your support.

As a parent, coach, and dedicated volunteer in our school community, I’ve had the privilege of seeing our schools from many perspectives, over many years. These experiences have shown me what’s working—and where we need to do better.
I’m running for school board to be a voice for families, educators, and students who want to see meaningful progress. That means updating outdated practices, embracing innovation where it benefits learning, and holding ourselves accountable to the highest standards.
Our district deserves leadership that doesn’t settle for “good enough.” I believe in improving the status quo through collaboration, logic, and decisions grounded in what’s best for students—not politics.
Together, we can build a school system that not only reflects the needs of today’s families but prepares our children for the future they deserve.

Midvale native Boden Meyer has officially announced his candidacy for a four-year term on the Midvale City Council. With deep family ties that trace back to the western settlers who first came to the middle valley, Meyer says his roots and dedication to the community run strong.
Meyer, a longtime volunteer with the Midvale Fire Protection District, has been actively involved in community service for years. He hopes to bring that same sense of service and responsibility to city government.
“I grew up here, I’m raising my family here, and I want to make sure Midvale continues to be a safe, affordable, and thriving community for everyone,” Meyer said.
His campaign is centered on two key issues: local safety and the city’s water system. Meyer emphasized that while improvements to the water system are necessary, residents’ monthly water costs must remain fair and affordable.
“Water is one of our most important resources,” Meyer explained. “We need to invest in improvements, but I’ll fight to keep costs manageable for families while ensuring the system is strong enough for the future.”
Meyer and his wife, Kylee, are raising their two young children, Brynlee and Beckett, in Midvale. He says his role as a husband and father gives him an even greater desire to serve and safeguard the community’s future.
“I want to be a voice for families, for neighbors, and for the people who call Midvale home,” Meyer said. “I truly believe our best days are ahead.”

I am running for re-election because of the pending problems with our water system. As with a lot of smaller cities, our system is old and needs updated along with water storage, which we don’t have. As we grow, our water needs also grow. So, to do so we need to address the problem.

As a candidate for Midvale City Council, I am running not just to serve, but to stand for the values that have long made our town a place we’re proud to call home. I am a Godly man, guided by faith, integrity, and a deep sense of responsibility—not only to my family, but to my neighbors and the broader Midvale community. I believe in the power of strong families, faith-based values, and personal accountability. These principles are not just part of who I am—they are the foundation I believe our city should continue to be built on. I want to keep Midvale grounded in those same core values that brought many of us here and kept us here: safety, community, family, and tradition.
Midvale is not just another growing city. It’s a place with a heart. We have a special kind of small-town character that you don’t find everywhere. We wave to our neighbors. We look out for one another. We go to church together, coach little league, and show up when someone’s in need. That’s the kind of town I want to protect. I’m not running to change Midvale—I’m running to keep Midvale the way it is. I believe growth should never come at the expense of our identity. I’ll work to ensure that future development respects our values, our neighborhoods, and the families that have been here for generations.
My vision for Midvale isn’t complicated: strong families, safe neighborhoods, and a city government that listens and works for the people—not against them. I want to be a voice for those who feel their values are being left behind. I want to ensure that our city remains a place where people of faith are welcomed, where moral foundations are protected, and where kids grow up in a community that reflects the values we teach at home. We don’t need to become like every other city. Midvale has its own identity, and we should preserve it.
I bring the heart of a servant, the perspective of a family man, and the conviction of someone who believes that leadership means listening. I’m not interested in politics for the sake of power—I’m here because I care deeply about this community. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and work hard for the people who live here. I want to be a councilmember who represents you—your voice, your concerns, and your values.
So when you cast your vote, I ask you to think about what kind of future you want for Midvale. If you believe in faith, family, and preserving the unique character of our hometown, then I’d be honored to earn your vote. Let’s keep Midvale strong, grounded, and true to what has always made it great.
