Council, Idaho – On December 29, 2025 Carlene Emerson, PharmD at Adams County Health Center, put out an announcement regarding upcoming changes to the availability of medications that would be available at the ACHC Pharmacy. Due to a sudden new Government rule, ACHC will not be able to dispense seven medications that were available on the 340B pricing. Since ACHC is a federally funded health center, government prices will not be available as of January 1, 2026. The medications affected are Eliquis, Entresto, Farxiga, Januvia, Jardiance, Xarelto and NovaLog Quick Acting Insulin.
Carlene informed the public that although ACHC won’t be able to fill prescriptions for the seven effected medications, providers can still prescribe them. She provided a few solutions to this sudden issue including filling them with another pharmacy or through mail-order. The ACHC Pharmacy is available to assist with mail-order prescriptions by going through your insurance to see if mail-order is available to patients; just bring your insurance card to the pharmacy and they can help with the possibility of mail-order prescriptions.
“We apologize for this change, it came upon us suddenly and there is nothing set in stone yet. As of right now, because we don’t know, January 1 is the cutoff” said Emerson in her announcement video. “As things change we will keep you informed, and we truly appreciate your patience”
As ACHC gets more information regarding this ongoing change, more information will be shared with the public. We thank you for your patience during this time and ask that you follow us on social media so that you can stay up to date on this change. If a person has any questions, please contact the ACHC Pharmacy by calling (208) 253-4957.
